This poster presents the acoustic features of distorted speech in three dysphonic New Zealanders compared to three healthy individuals as the control group. There are a total of six subjects in this study. Voice onset time and measurements of the two formant frequencies of vowel articulation in /hVd/ words are calculated for both groups, and the results are provided for comparison purposes. Furthermore, independent sample t-tests are conducted between dysphonic and normal speech results to evaluate the significancy of the differences in acoustic measurements.
